| How to ‘install’ WinDev 5.5 on Windows Vista*32 or Windows 7*32 Overview: Trying to install WinDev 5.5 on Windows 7*32 will end in a problem: parts of WinDev 5.5 install process are incompatible with newer Windows versions. The last Windows version which allows a clean WinDev 5.5 install is Windows XP. A really clean install of WD5.5 would mean that you’d have to do a setup of a virtual machine first or use a dual-boot Windows setup for booting Windows XP. The fast procedure: install WinDev 5.5 on a Windows XP computer and after that simply copy the whole directory \WinDev55US (or whatever you named it) over to a Windows 7*32 computer ! |
